With the da Vinci System, surgeons operate through a few small incisions instead of a large open incision - similar to traditional laparoscopy. The da Vinci System features a magnified 3D high-definition vision system and special wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human wrist. Da Vinci enables doctor to operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity and control. The da Vinci surgical system is used in 4 out of 5 radical prostatectomies in the U.S. State-of-the-art da Vinci uses the latest in surgical and robotics technologies and is beneficial for performing complex surgery. The surgeon is 100% in control of the da Vinci System, which translates his or her hand movements into smaller, more precise movements of tiny instruments inside your body. Physicians have used the da Vinci System worldwide in approximately 1.5 million various surgical procedures to date. Da Vinci is changing the experience of surgery for people around the world.


Our surgeon Dr. Abolfazl Hosseini who is responsible for the robotic surgery comes originally from Iran. Dr. Hosseini is an urologist with specialist interest in pelvic oncology at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden where he is lead urological surgeon for bladder cancer. Dr Hosseini trained at Karolinska university hospital, Sweden In 1999, he was awarded his Phd from Karolinska Institutet. He is one of the pioneers in robotic surgery in Europe. Dr Hosseini has one of the largest experiences in the world in totally intracorporeal robotic assisted radical cystectomy. He is an experienced trainer in robotics and has mentored many surgeons in both robotic cystectomy and robotic prostatectomy, helping to set up robotic surgery services in Europe and in Asia. He is regularly invited to lecture at international conferences and is widely published in the area of robotics.


At the moment we have cooperation with five robotic centers at Europe that can offer the service and possibility for the robotic surgery for Iranian patients as well as other patients from the region.
